Information You Need To Know Before Registering

  • All walkers must pre-register individually. Registration is open to all; there is a registration fee for those who are age 13 & older & for those who are age 12 & younger. Heroes Walk 2022 proceeds support the redesign of the Western Overlook at Flight 93 National Memorial.

  • Plan to arrive at the site between 9:00-10:00 AM for registration. Registration will be held at the Western Overlook. (Please look for event signs.)

  • Heroes Walk 2022 begins at 10:03 AM at the start of the Western Overlook Trail (near the Visitor Center & Learning Center) and is a 2.28 mile loop that includes the Allée, Wetlands Bridge, and Memorial Plaza.

  • If you are part of an organization or business that is walking as a group, you do not have to list the name of your organization or business when registering.

  • IMPORTANT* Any participants who are under the age of 18 are asked to complete a photo release form signed by a parent or legal guardian.

  • This is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of severe hazardous weather, the National Park Service reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event.

  • Please wear sturdy walking shoes. The surface of the trails is smooth with a 5% grade but supportive footwear is recommended.

  • Water will be available for Heroes Walk 2022 participants.

  • This is not a timed event, a run, or a race. We ask that walkers keep a moderate pace. No running!

  • Participants are encouraged to walk the trail multiple times if desired.

  • No pets are permitted unless it is a service animal.

  • No bicycles are permitted on trails, walkways, or the Memorial Plaza.
