OUR MISSION

As Friends of Flight 93, we welcome worldwide all who would join us in honoring the sacrifice and courage of the passengers and crew of Flight 93 by supporting the mission of the Flight 93 National Memorial with volunteers, resources, and civic engagement, so as to inspire all who visit with the Flight 93 story.

THANK YOU!

Thank you to all who donated toward our education scholarship fund. Through your generosity, we raised over $78,000 during our Giving Tuesday campaign.

And Our Amazing Donors!

Over $65,000 went towards our Education Scholarship Fund goal of $75,000! We thank you; our students thank you and our teachers and volunteers thank you.

If you missed Giving Tuesday, there is still time to contribute. Donations to our education scholarship fund make it possible for students Grade 4-12 to participate in an on-site, ranger-led field trip. During field trips, students learn about the events of September 11, 2001, and the remarkable acts of bravery and courage of the 40 passengers and crew members of United 93.

Remember, 75 million Americans were not born on September 11, 2001.

Your contribution helps us educate current and future generations. #Honor93

Families Ran in the New York Marathon to Benefit the Friends

On November 6, 2022, 10 Flight 93 family members ran the New York City Marathon. This year runners were sponsored by the Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial who were the benefactor of the funds raised. The Friends organization plans to put the funds raised toward the enhancements to the Western Overlook Project at the Memorial site.  The Western Overlook is where family members were brought for their first look at the crash site in September 2001.  The area has quite a bit of historical significance not only as the area where families had their first look at the crash site, adjacent to this area is where the crime scene investigation was conducted.

Visit Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial Fundraising Page for 2022 TCS New York City Marathon Fundraising (hakuapp.com) to make a donation. The family members have raised over $35,000! The Friends are so proud of their dedication and hard work to making this possible.

Smoke rising from crash

September 11, 2001 began as an ordinary, late-summer day. But, in less than two hours' time, this seemingly routine day was transformed when nineteen terrorists boarded and hijacked four airplanes to attack America.
